NAMSA Summer Networking Dinner

The NAMSA Summer Networking Dinner is our annual flagship professional event. It serves as a premier platform where Malaysian students and recent graduates from U.S. universities gather to connect with the American Universities Alumni of Malaysia (AUAM) and industry leaders.

Bridge Your Ambition to Industry with NAMSA

The transition from being a student in the United States to becoming a professional in the global workforce is a significant leap. We believe that who you know is just as important as what you know.

We host this dinner every summer to ensure that Malaysian talent, regardless of their field of study, has direct access to a supportive ecosystem of mentors, employers, and peers before they even graduate.

The Core Objectives:

  • Bridging Generations: Closing the gap between seasoned alumni leaders and the next generation of Malaysian talent.

  • Career Discovery: Providing a "real-world" look into various industries, from corporate giants to tech startups.

  • Talent Retention: Showcasing the diverse and exciting professional opportunities available back home in Malaysia.

On 2nd August 2025, we held our most ambitious dinner yet at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia. Under the theme "Roots & Routes, Navigating Change" we explored how Malaysian students can navigate a changing world while staying grounded in their identity.

Highlights of the Evening:

  • Keynote Address: We were honored to have YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan (Minister of Finance II) deliver a powerful closing speech on the importance of global perspectives in Malaysia's growth.

  • Main Sharing Session: A candid dialogue on resilience featuring leaders from PNB, Khazanah Nasional, and Gobi Partners.

  • Breakout Panels: Intimate sessions focused on entrepreneurship, global career building, and corporate growth.
