Our Mission

We aspire to be the body that unites Malaysian Student Associations (MSA) across America and forge beneficial relationships between them. NAMSA aims to nurture and enrich the development of Malaysian students in America and to inculcate a culture of leadership, professionalism, and networking. In achieving these goals, NAMSA hopes to build towards a culture of growth and unity.

Our History

Due to the geographical size of the United States, Malaysian students studying in the country are separated into 3 main regions: West Coast, Midwest and East Coast.

In 2015, 71 Malaysian student leaders worked together in Washington D.C. to form an umbrella body that united the 3 Regional Councils, thus forming the first Provisional Council of the Assembly.

Today, NAMSA operates across the 3 regions to ensure that student needs are well-managed and their voices are adequately represented across the United States.
